THE IPTV ZONE AT IBC 2009

Accedo Broadband

Accedo Broadband is launching a range of social media applications for IPTV. Visitors to the stand will be able to see a selection of applications, which integrate, for example, with Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia and Picasa. Accedo Broadband is also presenting a concept TV Community service, ZapClub, as well as an interactive programme rating application YouVote. Also on show will be interactive applications based on Accedo's new partnership with the global TV channel History. This partnership includes both information services as well as games and quizzes. Accedo Broadband will also be launching new games at IBC, bringing its portfolio to a total of more than 130 games. They will also be presenting new game features, including the world s first full HD gaming and 3D components using SVG technology.

AirTies

AirTies, the wireless home networking vendor, will be marking three industry firsts at the show. It will be previewing the industry 's first high definition 802.11N wireless video set-top box featuring self-service customer provisioning, 3D graphics, and solid state storage on NAND flash. Air 7224, the high definition, wireless, IPTV/ WebTV set-top box, will also be on display on partner booths of SeaChange, GooMe, Orca, Nordija and Opera. The Air 7224 is a compact, high definition STB for IPTV, WebTV and VoD applications. It will be the first STB to offer a seamless wireless video distribution at home in conjunction with a compatible AirTies wireless gateway. With the addition of AirTies' Mesh Networking, the need to run cables between multiple devices at home is totally eliminated.

By using a proprietary contextual recommendation algorithm, the content is pushed as an entertaining, personalised channel that anticipates viewers' needs and desires. beeTV's flagship product beeSTBox is designed for platforms such as IPTV, cable, satellite and DTT. beeTV will announce the release of two new products: beeWeb v1.5; and beeMobile.

Bluestreak

The flexible architecture of the MachBlue application framework and the extensions for TV, mobile and web services allows integration with low-level hardware, operating system, and middleware functionality.
